Michael M. Bingham
Patrol Officer

Patrol Officer Michael M. Bingham joined the Camp Hill Police Department in May of 1987.

Mike is a life long Camp Hill Borough resident.  Mike graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1983 and then went to Lafayette College.

In 1987 Mike attended the Harrisburg Area Community College’s Police Academy where he graduated first in his class. 

Besides serving the Department as a patrol officer, Mike has also served as a Field Training Officer.

Mike is married and has three children.  Mike is active in the community.  He has coached Camp Hill Girls’ Softball as well as Camp Hill Little League Baseball.  Mike also coaches the Good Shepherd Rams Pee-Wee Football Team.

Mike enjoys weightlifting and competes in powerlifting contests.  On October 14, 2004 Mike won the AAU World Bench Press Championships in Richmond, VA.  Mike also won the AAU International Bench Press Competition in Laughlin, Nevada on December 4, 2004.  After successful shoulder surgery in 2005, Mike returned to competition.  In 2006 Mike won the AAU Bench Press Nationals in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as the AAU International Bench Press Championships at the World Powerlifting Championships held in Richmond, VA.  Mike has also won numerous other bench press contents and has set three American records and two world records in the bench press.

Debra A. Olsen
Patrol Officer

Patrol Officer Debra A. Olsen graduated from East Pennsboro High School in 1976 and began a career in the insurance industry that same year.  Debbie then retired from CIGNA Insurance Company as an inside claims representative in 1987.

That same year, Debbie went to the Harrisburg Area Community College and graduated from their Police Academy.

Debbie worked her first job as a part-time police officer with the Millersville Borough Police Department in Lancaster County and subsequently became a full time police officer with the Millersville University Police Department in 1988.  In 1989 Debbie was honored with the “Bernard McMinn Award – Officer of the Year” for service to the community.  Debbie also wrote articles for the college newspaper on behalf of the Police Department.

In January of 1990 Debbie joined the Camp Hill Borough Police Department and is currently second senior patrol officer with over 16 years service.  Debbie enjoys the Borough of Camp Hill and is particularly fond of the public aspect of law enforcement and helping the people of the community.

Debbie is married and has a daughter, Karla, who is 21 years old and is a college student.  Debbie enjoys collecting ice skates and sleds, jewelry and various ornaments, all pertaining to ice skating or sleds.

John Kidman
Patrol Officer

Patrol Officer John Kidman joined the Camp Hill Borough Police in September of 1995.

John attended East Pennsboro High School and upon graduating in 1986, he joined the United States Navy.  John served on active duty for seven years as a Security Police Patrolman and Criminal Investigator.   John was honorably discharged in 1993.

John decided to continue his law enforcement career and became a Police Officer with the Upper Moreland Township Police Department in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  John attended the Montgomery County Police Academy and worked the Night Patrol for the next two years.  It was then that John took the position at the Camp Hill Borough Police Department, in a effort to be closer to his family.

Besides serving as a Patrol Officer in Camp Hill, John also serves as the department's training officer.

John also became a member of the  Cumberland County Special Response Team (SWAT) as an SRT operator.
