W. Scott Cornelious
Patrol Officer

Patrol Officer Scott Cornelious joined the Camp Hill Borough Police Department in September of 1995 as a Safety Officer.  Scott was then promoted to a Patrol Officer in July of 1996.

Since that time, both the Traffic Institute of Police Services and the Pennsylvania Department of Education have certified Scott as an Accident Reconstructionist.  Scott has also been trained as a Crime Scene Technician and has become a Certified Field Training Officer.  Scott has a Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from the Harrisburg Area Community College and is considering pursuing his Bachelor's Degree.

Prior to coming to the Camp Hill Borough Police Department, Scott worked for the Borough of Newville Police Department and was assigned as an Undercover Narcotics Officer.  Scott also worked for the Chambersburg Fire Department as a Firefighter / Emergency Medical Technician.  Scott served in the United States Army as a Medic and was deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm.

During his employment with the Department, Scott has predominately worked patrol with his main interest in enforcement of DUI offenders.  For those efforts, Scott is a 4 time winner of the Pennsylvania DUI Association Top Gun Award. Scott served as an Interim Criminal Investigator for the Department in the absence of the Sergeant assigned to that position.

Scott enjoys spending time with his children and is an avid outdoorsman, who loves to hunt big game, especially bears. Scott has been very successful on several of these adventures, and has published articles about thoes trips.

 

Lane Pryor
Safety Officer

Safety Officer Lane Pryor has been with the Camp Hill Borough Police Department since 1995.

Prior to becoming an Officer with Camp Hill, Lane served in Dauphin County as a Deputy Sheriff and has trained with the Crisis Response Team.

Lane has traveled to several states to train with organizations such as the DEA, FBI, ATF and the National Guard.

During the past five years, Lane has become certified as a State and National Firearms Instructor.  Lane has also become a member of the Camp Hill Borough Police Department's Bike Patrol after attending the International Police Mountain Bike Association's Training Course.

Aside from his duties as an Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter, Lane has also been assigned to the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office.
