Douglas S. Hockenberry
Safety Officer

 

Safety Officer Douglas S. Hockenberry joined the Camp Hill Borough Police Department in July of 1996.

Doug graduated from Bellefonte Area high School and went on to graduate from Lock haven university in May of 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree on Sociology / Criminology.

After graduating from college, Doug attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Police Academy and completed the Academy in August of 1995.

Doug then worked for the Bellefonte Emergency Medical Services as an Emergency Medical Technician.

It was in July of 1996, that Doug accepted the position of Safety Officer with the Camp Hill Borough Police Department.   As a Safety Officer, Doug's duties include acting as a Patrol Officer, and Emergency Medical Technician and a Firefighter.

Within the four years that Doug has been with the Department, he has completed the D.A.R.E. program and has become a certified instructor.  Doug has also become a member of the Camp Hill Borough Police Department's Bike Patrol, after attending the International Police Mountain Bike Association's Training Course.  Doug also serves as the Department's Community Service Officer.

Doug is married.  He enjoys watching football and collecting antique police and fire items.

 

Donna K. Hope
Adminstrative Assistant

 

Administrative Assistant Donna Hope was previously employed as a Legal Secretary within a local law firm for nine years.  It was then in June of 1996 that Donna joined the Camp Hill Borough Police Department as a Secretary / Receptionist, the first civilian position within the Department.

As a result of this newly implemented position, the Camp Hill Police Department has been able to become a fully computerized Department.  Some of Donna's duties include entering reports, complaints and other forms of information into the Department's computer system, handling telephone calls that are received in the station, dispatching officers for calls and greeting the entering public, along with other various office functions.

Donna's position within the Department enables the officers to be more accessible to the community for routine duties and related responsibilities.  In 1999, Donna's position was upgraded from Secretary / Receptionist to Administrative Assistant.

Donna resides in Camp Hill Borough with her husband and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
